Dianabol represents one of the most popular anabolic steroids and one of the most important every time. Undoubtedly, this is the most popular oral steroid that ever hit the market and one of the most popular in any way.
Metandienone is an orally active anabolic androgenic steroid. It was introduced to the market in the 1960s but later discontinued and withdrawn from the market. Although it is prohibited in and outside competition by the World Anti-Doping Agency, metandienone continues to be marketed and misused as a performance-enhancing drug in sports. In the US, metandienone is a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act.
A synthetic steroid with anabolic properties that are more pronounced than its androgenic effects. It has little progestational activity. (From Martindale, The Extra Pharmacopoeia, 30th ed, p1188)

Anabolic steroids
The combined effects of vitamin D, calcium, and anabolic steroids in the treatment of senile osteoporosis have been investigated [87]. Neither methandienone nor vitamin D3 alone but only the two together seemed to increase coronary morbidity and mortality, and possibly in women only. Simultaneous use of these two drugs should be avoided.
Calcium carbonate
Symptomatic reversible hypercalcemia was seen in two elderly patients taking apparently safe amounts of vitamin D and thiazide diuretics. Their unusual susceptibility to this effect resulted from an interaction with calcium carbonate which had been taken simultaneously. In the presence of other predisposing factors, hypercalcemia can develop in patients taking calcium carbonate 5–10 g/day [88,89].
Enzyme inducers
Anticonvulsants (barbiturates and phenytoin) and other drugs that induce liver enzymes (such as rifampicin) can accelerate the hepatic catabolism of vitamin D and can lead to reduced serum concentrations of calcifediol and osteomalacia. Prophylactic vitamin D treatment of patients taking long-term enzyme inducers can be helpful and should be given at least in cases of anticonvulsant drug-induced osteomalacia [90,91].
